In April of 2018, we spent five full days in The Netherlands. We wanted to have a typical trip to Holland – see windmills, ride bikes, visit tulip fields, and see tons of cute towns with canals. We knew we could get the perfect sampling of this in the amount of time we had, and we definitely got our fix!!

We spent the first four nights in Rotterdam and the last two nights in Amsterdam. We enjoyed Rotterdam and it was the perfect base because we wanted to go to Kinderdijk to see the windmills and Lisse to see Keukenhof Gardens and tulip fields. Amsterdam was just a city to us and we missed Rotterdam! We went to the Heineken Experience there and wandered through the nooks and crannies of the city.
