We spent a weekend in Brussels, Belgium and stayed at Pullman Brussels Centre Midi while we were there. The hotel is in a pretty good location, located in the heart of Brussels at Place Victor Horta 1. Before we even arrived, Pullman Brussels Centre Midi stood out to me as a modern and stylish hotel, showcasing the value in art itself through architecture, design and decor.

Looking up to Pullman Brussels Centre Midi

The hotel is the perfect base to explore Brussels from. The city center and main sights of Brussels are just a short distance away — about five minutes via metro or fifteen minutes by foot. The location is great for a city break, or even for a stop over between travels. The international Midi Train Station is literally steps outside the door – there is even an entrance to the hotel from the train station. From the station, one can travel to other international cities such as Amsterdam and Paris, or take a day trip to other Belgium cities such as Bruges and Ghent. The ease of getting to and from the hotel from many different locations makes it ideal.

Upon entering the hotel, the sleek lobby with its modern decor welcomed us inside, guiding us to the accommodating receptionists. The stylish decor and innovative design showcased in the lobby set the mood for the rest of the hotel, from the quiet hallways to the ambiance of the spacious rooms. The hotel has a variety of useful amenities offered throughout. The ground floor has a lounge area, convenient for working or simply to relax outside of your hotel room. On the first floor of the hotel, you’ll find the Victor Restaurant and Bar, which offers delicious fresh meals during a two course special for lunch and dinner, as well as other meals and snacks during the evening. On the same floor, you will find the breakfast area for guests to indulge. The breakfast area is stocked with delectable delights that range from hot and cold foods, to fruits, breads, and pastries. The hotel also offers a fitness room and sauna, allowing guests to exercise and rejuvenate during their stay, as well as 11 high-tech seminar rooms, ideal for meetings and banquets.

Designed by architect Jean-Philippe Nuel, Pullman Brussels Centre Midi houses 237 upscale rooms, from Deluxe Suites to Deluxe, Superior, and Classic Rooms. Our Deluxe Room was located on a corner of the hotel with a great view looking towards the city center, and to one side, the Atomium in the far distance. The room overlooked the train station as well. To our satisfaction, we couldn’t hear any trains or outside noise which was perfect. Our room was furnished with a king sized bed, a sitting area with a table, a television, and a spacious bathroom. It was very obvious that the hotel is conscious of their effect on the environment, changing linens only upon request in an effort to be as eco-friendly as possible. The sitting area provided an extra place to relax while watching programs and movies on television, which offers a selection of complimentary movies in a variety of languages. We were able to start our days off right with coffee and tea fresh from the kettle inside the room, while listening to music through the BOSE docking station on the bedside table. The bathroom was complete with a rainfall shower and a bathtub, and was stocked with toiletries from C.O. Bigelow in Manhattan. We didn’t take advantage of it, but Pullman Brussels Centre Midi also offers room service to those who would prefer in dine in the comfort of their room. With all these convenient amenities, you can truly relax and simply enjoy your stay.
